There is a bird that lives in the Arctic called the Rock Ptarmigan and is affectionately also known as the snow chicken. It is a master of disguise and changes color to fit the seasons. But In an effort to attract a female during the courting months the male will remain pure white which makes it blatantly stick out in a very brown environment. This allows him to be seen from miles away unfortunately predators are also able to see this and he may become a next meal Jesus did not blend into the crowd he stood out and became a beacon of hope to those around him and teaches us to be like a lamp mentioned in Mathew 5:25 "No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house." Using Christ centered words and actions we have a chance to stand out in a world that sometimes feels barren and hostile and light the way for someone to be attracted to a life changing relationship with Jesus Christ.
