Tree of Life - 'Straight Thorn of Salvation' - 1min. of inspiration from God's creation

The red buffalo Thorn ziziphus mucronata is also known as the tree of life. One of the significant characteristics in identifying this tree is that it has two types of thorns a straight thorn opposite a hooked thorn. These two thorns represent two aspects of our life- the straight thorn represents looking toward to the future and the hook Thorn signifies that we should never forget what we have seen and experienced in the past Let’s focus on the hook Thorn - the past. As followers of Christ we are reminded of what Jesus did for us on the cross. In Philippians two verse eight it says "He humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminals death on the cross." Through his death we are reminded of the pain and sacrifice that he selflessly took as punishment that was meant for us. But we also need to remember the significance of his resurrection to provide salvation to all who believe in him.
